I'm an Idiot...Help needed
 

Cleaned my engine bay yesterday...remembered too late that I should have covered the line lock. Went to use the line lock last night and didn't work. Car has been sitting in the garage since last night and popped the hood today and touched the line lock solenoid and it is extremely hot, every other underhood component is cold. I now took off the power and ground from the solenoid...any suggestions or did i fry it?

Was there power going to the solonoid?? thats the only reason i could see it gettin hot.

it must've been getting power...but it was staying open last night instead of keeping the fluid to the front brakes...i could not hear it open and close when i tested it last night.

Ya thats weird, maybe a bad connection if not then i would say its toast

what about another test? Line locker tests are always a good thing! by the way which company line locker to you have, SLP?

yes it is slp

i bet its toast. doesnt take to much to fry them. any unfused switch is never good.

the in-line fuse is still ok...i will test it out again in a few days...maybe it just needs to dry out. We will see
