Default Are these the band clamps I need for headers?

http://www.ls1speed.com/catagory.cfm?catagory=Exhaust

They're the speed inc bad clamps towards the bottom? Would I want the 3" or 3.5" for my headers w/3" primaries and y?

i used the stepped bang clamps on my y pipe and they are very good to have if your y pipe doesn't fit exactly perfect. it seals up small exhaust leaks and the stepped part fits perfectly

Depends on who you ask and they may be used for various setups. Some say they are for butt joints which makes the most sense and others say they are for the slip fit which doesnt make sense seeing as how they have stepped or preformed bandclamps for that.

Question?

What kind of aluminum tape is everyone using?? Does it really matter what the heat temp is since its gonna be packed and held in place by a band clamp???
