Intermittent idle, O2's or IAC?
 

I hope this is the right section, sorry if its not.

I have a 94Z and know enough about it. I'm currently taking care of a friends 02 SS, when its starts up it will hold its idle fine, but sometimes after a little drive, or right after I restart the motor it will act like it never had an idle. I'm assuming that the LS1's have a IAC to regulate this, I've also heard that this could be partly a O2 problem. I'm not exactly sure of all the internals that the car has but I believe it has 1.7RRs at least, I know it has a TS&M NX cam, and SLP LT's. The car has a definitely had a few 150shots put thru it from the dyno sheet I saw, and I'm thinking it has to have been tuned for it. Its a M6 btw.

ask him if he just put a k&N air filter in or reoiled his, as the oil can get on the MAF wires and cause this, and where is he shooting his 150 shots in at- before or afte the MAF. Are there any SES lights on?

The 150 shot was removed when he bought it, the only thing thats left of it is the tune, I'm pretty sure that the filter hasn't been over oiled, the idle just doesn't work sometimes, but when you first start it up it will usually hold it just fine.
