Default Y-Pipe starts banging after installing new tranny mount??

Never had a problem with this y-pipe until I changed my tranny mount, now under hard acceleration I get a vibration right under me, not really a banging. Think the y is hitting the tranny crossmember. Just dont understand why this all started when I changed the mount. Used a stock GM mount. Any ideas?

Thanks

I had the same noise under acceleration when I had an SLP y put on. It's actually the driveshaft rubbing on the Y.

I'm going to get a stiffer tranny mount as I still run stock, but we did have to lower the y-pipe a little.

Under acceleration, the driveline flexes and hits the y-pipe.

wow... been searching to the answer for this for 5 years... I finally just gave up... good tip! I'm gonna check out my driveshaft/y-pipe area next time i'm under the car...

what area does it usually rub? i.e. front, back, middle etc...
