Difference between Catback and TD's...

What is the difference in horsepower gain depending on if you go with an aftermarket catback vs. TD's?? And, which do you think is better?

true duals sound and perform better than catbacks, but are also more difficult to install. Most of the catbacks will still flow enough to make big power, and sound O.K.

most catbacks will sound good but you will never get rid of the rasp with a y-pipe like you will with duals, i have had both catback with ory and longtubes. know i have duals with moroso spiral flows and love the way it sounds

Yeah I always did like the sound of TD's better but my main question is how much horsepower gain do you get from an aftermarket catback and how much from aftermarket true duals... If there is a difference at all.

Depends on what kind of catback it is and what kind of setup you have. You can still get the big HP numbers through a regular catback, and unless you're really moving a shitload of air you wont really need the TD's.

They do sound better though, I love mine.

Not sure how much you're going to gain going from a stock exhaust to aftermarket (Y or duals) but most say that duals really outshine a y pipe setup in the midrange. My car feels stronger all around with my duals. I used to have a ORY/Borla exhaust.

Go with TD's and never look back. I get so many compliments with mine. The sound is worth it alone. I got my headers/duals setup for just a bit more than my old catback setup.

Whats the average cost on true duals for someone to install themself who allready has Long Tubes?
