Wrong LT's? Ok, i have had my pacesetters (w/ emissions) sitting in my garage for 8months already waiting to get installed on my 2001 ws6. So i start taking stuff off, i go check the tubing for the emission stuff and im confused; the driver side header has one tube for the Air system, which is correct, then i look at the passenger side, and there are two..but the car looks like it only needs one as well. So do i have the wrong year headers? or am i not looking at my engine bay correctly and there is some other emissions stuff i need to hook up to it? or am i supposed to just block it up. Can you guys help? |
'98 and '99 cars with emissions have a second tube on the passenger side for the EGR. If you don't mind having that extra tube in there you can just use a block off plate. My Pacesetters actually came with one (I didn't use it, but it was there). |
thats what i was afraid of, they sent me the wrong headers. damn...so should i cut and weld it? put a block off plate? or send it back? Im going to have to pay for it to ship back to the place i ordered them, so im losing money, if i pay to get it chopped and welded, im losing money, if i put a block off plate, im freakin ghetto. |
my headers had that also and i just used the block off plate. i never had a problem with them |
Have it cut off and welded. I did the same with my car when I removed the EGR and installed the LS6 intake. I had Hooker LT's. It looks way better than having the block off plate. |
call the company you ordered them from and see what they are willing to do to remedy the situation. im sure they would send a block off plate to make you happy. |
