this is why we dont trust parts stores...

take a gander at a 93-96 radiator and tell me how much thicker it is than the 97+ radiator...

more than likely, the parts store carries an aftermarket OEM style radiator that meets both LT1 and LS1 cooling requirements so they dont have to carry two different radiators. if thats the case, the only difference i can think would be the heater hose outlets on the LT1 radiator.

regardless, the stock OEM radiators in these cars are the same 93-96 and then 97-2002

I know for a fact that Advanced carries two different part numbers for the fourth gen radiators, one is thicker than the other. When I bought mine back in August it was for a 97 LT car(which in their system has the same part number for the 98) and the 99-02 cars called for the thinner one.

Now as far as comparing two OEM pieces, no I haven't

^^^ This has been my same experience as well!
I have personally pulled 2 94 LT1 Radiators out of cars and put them into LS1 cars for this very reason. Even ordered new 1's before and came out the same way. They were Thicker than the LS1 Radiators...
