It should eventually throw a check engine light. You either need to get the rear codes tuned out or purchase some O2 sims to prevent the check engine light.

FT is right. You will throw a code. Until you can afford either a tune or sims you can unplug them and secure them. The rear o2s just tell computer if the cats are working properly.

When the PCM detects an emissions failure it can influence the A/F mixture to help try and protect the motor. That might be causing the mixture to go really rich. Do you still have the front O2 sensors installed in the headers?

maybe you have a cracked plug from installing the headers or a plug isnt all the way on or burnt. I had my rears out and untunned for almsot a month and never had any ill effects.

ehh I doubt he'd do that (or at least lets hope) I think he may have a different issue.

Tell me something, are the headers ceramic coated and how many miles are on your car?

nvm, just saw. Im gonna have to say my next guess is if you have a few miles on your 02's, then the ceramic coating is known to mess with the 02's. You could try cleaning off the 02's with a wire brush some.

well that throws out the ceramic idea. ermmm ok im out of ideas for the moment.

actually no im not. if you still have your rear 02's, replace your fronts with the rea. they are the same, so if by chance the front are just shot, the rears should rule out that probability.
