Default LS1 sensors

Are all the LS1 sensor compatable with the LQ9 block?
I am going to swap my LS1 to a LQ9 with L92 heads and i wanted to take the sensors off my LS1 and put them on the new engine.
(wasn't sure where to put this thread, move please if necessary)

Thanks in advance.

Where did you get the rest of the sensors?

Yes, they are all the same. The LQ9 will plug-and-play with your engine harness.

I am going to use the TSP L92 heads. The Engine (408) is going to be turbocharged.
Engine: 408ci 8.5:1 LQ9 block L92 heads(factory rockers), front mounted ST80, 3400 stall, TH400. Street/Strip. Aim is 850-900rwhp on track, and 500rwhp on road.

Cam.

223 in.
227 ex.
636, 639
115 Lobe Seperation
113 Centerline

Springs
26921-kit

Pushrods
7955-16

Lifters
875-16

All from Comp Cams!

I am into the FI, but i am starting to build the engine, and i was confused about the sensors.

Okay, next question, will the L92 sensors hook into the LQ9 block (and work) and plug into the LS1 factory harness(and work)?

I swapped all sensors from my LS1 to my LQ9 w/ LS6 heads. I'm assuming the coolant temp sensor would work as well with the L92s.

Only thing I ran into was the LS1 alternator bracket. Had to drill a whole on the front of the block. There's a write-up somewhere on here.

Why are you wanting to use L92 sensors on an LQ4/LQ9 block? All the LS1/LS6/LQ4/LQ9 all use the same cam and crank sensors, the cam sensor goes right behind the intake manifold, while the crank sensor goes in between the block and starter, and the knock sensor go in the lifter valley. Just use everything from the LS1 short block on your 408 LQ9 short block. The L92 has the cam sensor on the front by the timing chain cover, and the knock sensor are on the side of the block (one on the driver side and the other on the passenger side, both by the exhaust manifolds).

If your car is high miles. I don't recommend re-using sensors. They are cheap relative to the pain in the *** of having to dig them out again when they go bad. If your spending money on a new block and all that, spend a few dollars more and put in fresh sensors everywhere you can...

Bumping a super old post, but this is great info. Thanks guys. Swapping an LQ9 into my Third Gen and this helps me know what I'm looking to get for sensors.
