Lane's True Duals

I was recently searching for a pre-fabbed true dual set-up run over the axle and out the back for my SS and i came across Lane's true duals. does anybody know where i could find them?

i searched "lane's true duals" "lane's exhaust", etc. on google, but all that came up was a few forums that mentioned it, but i couldn't find anything related to where to buy them.

Lane had a shop a while back.I know it closed and I dont believe he does duals anymore.

dutinsss Dec 19, 2007 08:50 PM

ahh man. i was afraid of that since all the threads i found were really old. thanks though

Only other prefabbed one I know of that exits out the back is the Bassani, which is what I am probably going to purchase in the spring.

Does any other kit exist?

AaronR Dec 19, 2007 08:55 PM

Next best thing would probably be TSP duals and find some one to run them out the back.

dutinsss Dec 19, 2007 09:01 PM

i'm thinking about that one too. and that i know of, the bassani is the only one to exit out the rear and the tsp is the only other one, but it's dumped. the guy that sells XS headers mentioned in another thread that their working on a TD system for ls1's, so i'm going to hang tight until i hear something from them first, since they have such good prices on their headers, i bet their TD system will be priced well too.

I have some of the first sets of the Lanes true duals. Good luck finding some still.

I had a set of Lanes on my Formula that I just sold. Solid system and sounded great...only thing i didnt like was the hanger design. it was bolted to the floor board, and welded to the exhaust. I had to have it rewelded after about 2 years because i hit a one too many bumps, and the hanger ripped at the welded and came off the pipe. A $20 fix, but a hassle nonetheless.

If i kept the car, I was going to weld a hanger to the floor, and a hanger on the exhaust with a rubber bushing in between to help absorb some of the force if it scraped or bottomed out any more...

dutinsss where are you located? There is a guy in the DFW area that builds custom duals. He used to work at Lanes also.

There's a set on ebay for sale right now. I saw them earlier. They are for QTP headers.

i'm from south georgia, pretty close to the GA/FLA line about half an hour from tallahassee. i still havent found a good shop to run true duals on my car and its getting a little frustrating. theres good shops that will hook up a pre-fabbed kit, but cant bend pipes to make a custom set-up.

i'm really looking for an over the axle set-up, because i have them dumped now and rele like them, but since i plan on getting a cam, i need them run all the way out the back. thanks for going through the trouble of getting the link though. somebody actually just posted a thread with pictures of his set up that is exactly how i want mine run. its an h-pipe with single chambers behind the axle.
