I just bought a 99 lsa t/a and I'm gonna do true duals but I need to find 02 sims and it seems like no one makes them anymore. Not even caspers, why? Oh btw florida doesnt have emissions anymore so I'm also gonna do a x pipe and l/t headers but that's basically it oh and a CAI. Thanks in advance guys

Yeah they got hosed, you can still find some members who have them for sale. If you can not find any, just go get a good tune and while they are in there you can have your rear o2s cut off.

Ah that's what happened I've been out of the "02 sim game" for so long I didnt know. I actually have a old caspers from my 02 s10 that didnt work very well cause the 4.3 are very finicky when it comes to that. I also wanna do true duals no cats, Theres a dyno in rivera beach that I'm assuming can do it. Oh Is there such a thing has a custom pcm? Who makes them for our cars? I dont know if you guys have ever heard of such places such has zzp and dhp, They make pcm's for gp's, dhp also makes a pcm interface that you can tune every concievable parameter. Anyways thanks in advance.

The only custom pcm's I can think of that would be worth the money would be the Fast or Big Stuff 3 or you could find someone with HPtuners or LS1Edit to do it from a laptop. Anyone that can dynotune can delete all that needs to be deleted. I'm sure most of them already know or have a preset tune that they use on vehicles.

Well, I have (1) SIMMS and (2) a copy of LS1 Edit software that allows you to turn off the O2s.
My PCM had to be replaced by GM recently, and I am glad I had the SIMMS on the car since the new PCM would have thrown a code and caused the GM dealer to reject the claim and not work on the car.

i think a tune would have been the way to go anyway. i remember seeing that a few guys still had a check engine light after getting the sims,
but as far as Caspers goes, yeah they got about shut down. I wrote my final in Political Science on that this year and how it was an invasion on the free-market system. stupid EPA

I'm interested in whether or not you can sell sims privately. I have a pair in great condition but I'm not in the position to sell them if it could come back and bite me.

You cannot legally sell used cat convertors under a federal prohibition either but people still do it.
I'm not an electrical engineer but I assume the SIMMS are made from a few common electrical components such as resistors and such.

Easiest option would be to find a sponsor that is close to you, and go and have them turned off(and maybe get a tune if you need it).
If you realy want the SIMS, you can try to find someone selling a used pair, try to find a website that still sells them, or make them yourself. Do a search on google and you will find the parts that are needed to make them. All you are doing is splicing the O2 harness and putting a couple of resisters in there.
