Burn it and get a TSP lid???

Direct-Flo lids often have fitting problems. But seriously I would sell it (for $50 maybe), and buy a TSP or Whisper lid.

Make sure you have the neck of the lid stuck deep enough in the bellows behind it,for that matter make sure the lid and maf are slid up in the bellows far enough. My Ls1 lid fits great.

2 LS1 motorsport lids here, both fit perfect.
SS Rally is correct, check there first.

Its a tight fit. With mine had to keep my fingers on the tabs while pushing the front of the lid with my palms. Its almost like a trick to get it on. It gets easier with practice. Try installing it first without the filter to get a feel for how it has to go in.
