ASP crank pulley possibly broke

ASP crank pulley possibly broke While driving today Iheard a loud bang that sounded metal on metal. first thing i thought was the ASP crank pulley fell off, but on further inspection i noticed that the front part of the pulley fell off (the part where the SFI sticker was stuck). Has this ever happened to anyone else? And is my pulley ruined? The pulley is still on the car but I dont know what the outer ring on the pulley is for....Thanks for any help
