Question E3 Plugs?

Just saw Horse Power TV on Spike and they ran these plugs against another leading plug and gained about 5 HP and a little better fuel efficiency. Anyone used these? Thanks

.99 cent copper plug is better then these fancy ones in my opinion. The competitor was a bosch platinum plus 4, the epitome of overpriced JUUUNNNNNKKKKKKKKKK in my opinion!

I have the TR55's and have had no problems. I debated for a long time on what to use. i like working on the car so if I have to change plugs every 20-30,000 miles I'm fine with that.

Waste man...I saw that too and it made me laugh. I had the E3s on my 96 Z28, It felt the same power wise(never dynod), it got the same if not worse milege and two plugs went out before they hit 8k miles. I replaced them with cheap autolites to sell the car and it ran better with the autolites than it ever did with those damn wastes of money known as E3s.

Get plug that will ignite your fuel mixture. If it's a 99 cent plug, fine. Anymore is just a waste. Bosch or NGK IMHO

I heard E3 plugs were good for shooting a spark right into your wallet and turning your money into ash.

E3's are garbage! I bought a set for my Silverado. Paid an arm and a leg, did the install, then drove for a month. The truck seemed to respond well to the plugs. Then the trouble started. At WOT truck would cough and sputter. I couldn't pass a diesel Buick! Truck showed downstream O2 codes.
I took the plugs out, all were fouled. Cleared codes, replaced plugs with recommended AC Delco and all is right with the world.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THE E3's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Had them in my Cav for like 5000KMS fouled up 2 of them. You might as well just put a bolt in place of the spark plug.

Wow, thanks for answering my question!! Seems like every single non-conventional style plug hasn't proven better than the old stuff.

I used them in my Mazda didn't seen any gains in mpg nor loss. Still at 38mpg with the a/c blasting. Car does have a slight miss at 4000 +rpms. wasn't there before.
I suggest stay with what works.

Gearz put them on TT STS vette. I don't trust much of what the guys on t.v. say, they are getting paid so they will say what puts money in their pocket.

Wow, I put these things in my car not too long ago. I actually did notice a difference right away. More responsive and a touch more power. Highway mileage is just over 25mpg now (was at 23-24). So far so good. Hopefully they don't deuce and leave me hating em too. Who knows, maybe I'm lucky and the Pontiac Gods are protecting my ride...
