Here is a little hard data for you...ram air is not a myth

There is a reason every single sport bikes has a ram air induction setup and also look to Prostock...granted they get even more gains going 200mph but most of our cars are in the 110-140mph range

Heres my ram air set up. 4" aluminum pipe, IAT sensor underneath close to TB, removed MAF and speed density tuned. Also cut the "slit" in the hood to maximize air flow. 7"to4" velocity stack for track then have a filter for street driving. Key on engine off the MAP sensor saw 87 kpa (el paso, TX 5800ft DA), with SLP lid and no filter at WOT I saw on average 89 kpa, with this set up I would see on average 95 kpa. Pretty big difference.

maybe a dumb question here : ive seen where you guys cut the baffles out of the factory hood on a ws6 for the true "ram air effect".. Do you also do the air box mod as well? Or is it one or the other(on ws6 )? Or both?

Breathing from the bottom will give the best gains...and you are right one or the other

A car that looks that nice deserves something better then that hacked up looking stuff. It may work but **** its ugly.

Brian greens BG ram air mod picked up 2 tenths and 2 mph tested by a magazine back in like 2004. Ram air definately works.

I can personally vouch for this. The BG Ram Air was legit. I need to fab up a new gasket for mine, but it's still awesome.
