2 mph, exactly what I predicted - an easy 15-20hp gain. You guys that think ram air accounts for nearly nothing crack me up

results are in only did one run with it taped up the best i could probably still let 5-10% through...pulled the front seal so it was back to stock but still could pull air from below slightly because i didnt have a block off plate made...

got caught up trying to run a new best and well lets just say it paid off...

with the ram air open my mph was 122.6mph and with it closed taped off it ran 119.9mph...so the overall gain was 27rwhp or 2.7mph...

lets just call it an even 25rwhp...better taping or making a block off plate would probably show a bigger difference but i think this was good enough proof...

hope this helps some out...enjoy making your custom intakes

So tomorrow i am going to do four passes, 2 with the custom ram air, and two with it fully taped off and only the stock open slit open(stock condition)...

So i am not testing just the cold air or ram air effect i am testing the over performance...

Make your guesses i will have video and pictures tomorrow or early saturday...

I know this wont put the arguement to rest but should at least enlighten some...

Is this a car you drive on the street on a regular basis? I like this setup but I don't know if I would want to drive on the street with that big ole thing sticking out the bottom of my bumper ya know? But great results thats for sure!

hell yea man i got a gain with my fast toys ram air..i've taken the bottom scoop off of the kit so i could make some room for my trans cooler and i've noticed that my intake air temps have gone up since ive removed the bottom scoop so i'm gonna dig it out of the garage and put it back on.
