Default EGR / AIR Removal 2000 Trans Am

Ok i have just read through the sticky on top about the removal process and i think i got everything except one plug.

For EGR i have 1 block off plate and a 1 3/8" adjustable freeze plug

For AIR i have 2 block off plates. But i keep getting conflicting information regarding a vacum hose in the back. Is there one more thing to be blocked off on the back of the block or intake manifold? If so do i need another adjustable freeze plug and what size?

There IS a spot in the back of the manifold for the AIR system that you will have to plug to prevent a vacuum leak, I wish I could help but I don't know what size it is, sorry. Hopefully someone will chime in that knows.

If you have the funds it's a great time to do the LS6 intake.
I did both at the same time since LS6 intakes were so cheap.

Indeed, there is a T connection behind the intake w/ it connects to your AIR system and also connects to the A/C system, IRRC.

Ok thanks, this was the info i was looking for. As long as i know there IS something back there, i should be able to figure out a way to plug it thanks again.

FAST LS1 - I agree but right now the funds arent there for the LS6 so it will have to wait for now.

Thanks again everyone!

I just used a screw that fit tightly in it and threaded it in there with some sealant.

Are you talking about the vacuum hose on the passenger side or the t-shaped one from the drivers side?

The vacuum hose. I used a 1 3/8" freeze plug for the hole on the intake.
