spend my money heads, cam?
i have 5k to spend on my 99 camaro ss. i am going to install all the parts. what would you buy? i was thinking

If it was me to spend that kind of cheese I would go with a Cartek package . Check them out on the sponsor list . Their heads and cams compliment each in steps depending on what you want . Also , try and get a Fast intake , cometic head gaskets , arp head bolts . Longtubes put down about the same amount of pwoer so that is anywhere from $200-$1000 . Duals dumped can be had for $300 or less .

Thats over 5k right there and i still need to get the cam, pushrods and tuning software, which should be about a 1k-1500 for all that. You could save some by not getting a clutch or not going with a fast or expensive headers, but Ive done that route before, and remember you get what you pay for REALLY applies to mods (for the most part).

forgot to mention all the little nickel and dime stuff that is involved. (fluids, tools, miscellaneous bullshit). Your going to need more than 5k to do it right with those heads.

i already have a new centerforce df clutch, ram slave cylinder,mcloed adjustabe master, comp high tech pushrods,& i i dont think in need valve covers, they are already the centerbolt style.
