Anything I need to know about installing new O2's? Also, I want to replace the front O2's only. When I called a dealer, they said there are a total of three sensors. Is that right? |
Re: Anything I need to know about installing new O2's? There are two fronts and two backs. Or 2 before and 2 after the cats. Just unhook the wires and change them. Maybe put a little anti seize on the threads for next time. |
Re: Anything I need to know about installing new O2's? I've heard horror stories of people ruining their new sensors by using hi-temp silicon on the threads when they insalled them. you might want to shy away from that stuff on your O2's. |
Re: Anything I need to know about installing new O2's? ya, silicon will kill an O2 sensor very quickly. just a little anti seize and ur good to go... |
Re: Anything I need to know about installing new O2's? Don't drop 'em or even let the ends come in contact with anything. Amazing how finicky those things can be. |
