Dyno Results...........good or bad???
I had my car on the dyno at last Thurdsay and wanted some feedback regarding the results.
The car is a 2002 Firehawk, A4 w/3.23's and the following mods;
- SLP long tubes, 3" y-pipe and Random Tech cats
- SLP Loudmouth
- Vig.2800
- Smooth bellows
- 160* stat
The car had about 21,000 km's (~13,000 miles) at the time.
Baseline Run
- 295.3 HP
- 307.4 TQ
After Tuning
- 324.1 HP
- 338.4 TQ
I would have thought that the baseline numbers would have been a little higher with the long tubes but I was happy in the end that we were able to get another 30 HP with the tuning.
Anyone have any thoughts/opinions?
Thanks,
Steve.
PS
I don't know if this makes a difference or not but temp at the time was 28C and humidity was 63%.

Re: Dyno Results...........good or bad???
For guys who know more about this it might help if they knew what type of dyno was used?

Wade did all the fine tuning and had the A/F right around 13.0 - 13.1 through almost the entire rpm range.

Re: Dyno Results...........good or bad???
Yea I had similar things. The Stall kills some of the power though. Bone stock my A4 back in April pulled 316rwhp and 348lbs of torque.
With air lid, 85mm MAF, 3.73 gears, and 3500 TCI stall converter in Mid July (hot and humid as heck) I pulled 283hp and tq. Then LS1 Edit dyno tuned to 302rwhp and 316rwtp.
I'm pretty pleased with my numbers. I'm fixing to have a set of headers installed and expecting to be close to where you stand now.
Good luck man.

Those numbers sound good to me. I never dynoed my car bone stock but with a lid/filter only it's best pull was 296rwhp/308rwtq SAE corrected.

Your numbers are just about right. I just dynoed mine the other day and put down similar numbers - 310 HP/ 329 TQ. I'm looking at dropping a cam in and and LS6 intake in the near future.

Re: Dyno Results...........good or bad???
the headers really wont get you all thet much until you change something else like internals...or heads or to an ls6 intake....
I think that Wade and ARE pulled some fantastic numbers out of the car based on my baseline numbers. This car is making as much power as my '97 LT1 with ported heads/HOT Cam + all the other bolt on's so I'm pretty happy.
Steve.
PS
Soundengineer, I do have the LS6 intake.
