I added a lid/ported TB/FTRA at once and picked up ZERO at the track. Then I got a tune and picked up 27 hp. So yeah, a tune would help you no doubt.

No, he's not. He doesn't have the headers on his car yet. Regardless if he had full bolt-ons or not, there's nothing to tune for if the only change he made was a ported throttlebody. You might pick up 2-3 horsepower out of it by just installing it, but again, you cannot tune for simply a ported throttle body. It's like trying to tune for bigger/better plug wires.

No way a ported TB allowed a 27HP gain on it's own. If any tune is done to a stock car, potentially it's because GM richens the tune a bit to be on the safe side and that you can lean it out to gain more HP, but a ported TB is not worth 27 HP. I'd be hard pressed to say it gains even 2-3 HP considering that is barely 1% of a stock powered LS1 at the wheels and much smaller than the standard deviation you can get between dyno runs.

Well I thought I would have saw some kind of gain instead of a loss. Like $200 for nothing LOL

You get 3 ported tb's for that price? Yikes that seems high.

$200 was TB, Underdrive, belts and bolt
