00' SS wont turn over, dunno what to do... i bought this car just over a week ago and it wont turn over now. i can hear the fuel pump when i turn the key and the battery is good, i tested it so is the starter. it just cranks and cranks like its going to start but it wont. the car has only 30k on it but its past the in service date so no warranty sigh i dont know what else to check or do, it did it once yesterday but i gave it like 2 min and it fired right up, then last night it did it, and wouldnt crank at all so i pushed it and popped the clutch and it fired right up, now today i had to go somewhere and it wouldnt even turn over when i pushed it and popped the clutch, i tried for half a block to do it sigh im out of ideas and dont know what else to try, anyone have any advice?

Does the engine sound normal while cranking?
Have you checked for spark ?
Does it have fuel pressure?
Does it have injector pulse?

Re: 00' SS wont turn over, dunno what to do... Pull a plug wire, put in an old spark plug, lay it on the block and let a friend turn the engine over while you watch for spark. If thats ok then check the fuel filter. Could be the pump too, if these cars are run out of gas the pumps kinda take a dump.
