Default Missing two ARP head stud washers, can I use any ole washer?

Well I have some how lost two washers for my ARP head studs. They are the tapered washers to...Just wondering if I can use a washer from a parts store. As long as I match the same diameter, thickness, ect? Or is there a special reasoning for the tapered washer?

ARP are very hard washers. I think I have an extra package. I can sell you 2 to replace what you lost

I'm sure if you go by a fastner shop, they would be able to find you something of the same grade or material. The washers used for heads aren't exposed to that insane of a torque load, its just to help disperse the force so you don't gouge your head.

There is very little contact area between the nut and the washer, hence the washer design. I would personally use the ARP washer and not use a substitute.
