Default question about 6.0 and 5.3 truck blocks for stokers

I have seen/heard of people gettin 6.0 blocks to make big strokers engines. What i was wondering is, can you use a 5.3 block for the stroker or do they differ that much? the reason i ask is becuase a friend of mine is looking for a 6.0 block for his LS1 to make a stroker and im looking for an Ls1 block for my 5.3L truck, so it would work out pretty well if we could trade. thanks for any info

The 5.3L block can be used BUT, the bore can't be bored out as far as a 6.0L block. Max bore on a 5.3L block is ~3.9"(Basically what a stock LS1 bore is) while some 6.0L blocks can go all the way out to 4.06"

The 5.3L block should accept any stroker crank that the LS1 or 6.0L block can use though.

Hope that helps.
