Edelbrock heads

Anyone use the Edelbrock 203cc heads? How are they working for you?

i wouldnt take those heads if there were free. You would be much better off with a set from patriot,WCCH or TSP.And if you dont care about money then you look at AFR and TFS heads.

I already have a decent set of heads, just curious about these as I havent heard much.
Upon what do you base your opinion?

are those the edelbrock heads that cost like $1800 and are "semi cnc'ed" to flow 260cfm on the intake?

all that money for a 20cfm increase over stock... :blah:

ZMONSTER! 11-20-2008 11:02 AM

See that's the thing I haven't seen any flow numbers for them, Ive searched but to no avail.

redtail2426 11-20-2008 03:28 PM

Yeah Edelcrap likes to do that.they take a head and CNC the first 1 inch of the runner so they can put CNC in the head info..Well in my opinion if you going to go through all the trouble of placing the Head on the cnc machine in the first place, then cnc the damn head, dont do a half ass job.But thats what edelbrock does with there heads. They dont flow that well either. So they cant get away with saying the heads flow good enough to be "semi-cnc".
In my opinion edelbrock has no ground in the lsx community. They may make decent parts for the gen1 and 2 but not a chance with gen 3

reading what they say in my Summit Racing cateloge (doesn't say it in the online version):

"they have 65cc combustion chambers and flow 275/200cfm intak/exhaust at .550" lift with stock 3.900" bore at 28" of water."

while thats not bad...for $2100 you can have a set of as cast TFS 215s that flow over 300 and have a better valve angle.
