TexasSpeed come on in please

i currently have the 228R on a 112 in my truck. I have a Stock bottom end 2000 LS1, LT's, Fast 90/LS2 90 combo, Underdrive pulley, home ported 243's milled .010 with .040 gaskets (if i had to guess i would say about stage 1 - 1.5 flow). Also i have a 3800 stall, shift kit, servos, 4.11 gears. I am wanting to know how much i would benifit from upgrading the 228R to the MS4?? I also plan to spray a 150 shot on it.

Is the truck still used as a daily driver? Typically I would not recommend that extreme of a cam for a truck because they are so much heavier then the cars. You don't want to lose too much low end power or it won't be able to get going. If the truck is used mostly for racing its something to consider epecially when looking at the modifications already done to the truck.

that's actually pretty decent advice.

not to mention he would have to flycut. But if flycut is done, more milling, and drag is in mind, YES you'd benefit.

this isnt a daily driver anymore. basically i want a custom cam to work with my setup, i also dont mind spinning it up to 7000. This is my weekend vehicle now with street and strip in mind, mainly strip

A custom cam for your set-up would be a much better way to go. That heavy truck is going to need something that makes good torque to get it going.

so a MS4 with 11:1 CR, ported 243's, fast 90, lt's, 4.10's, and 4000 stall wouldnt be badass in a truck!!!!!!
