Has anyone sleeved a 6.0L iron block?
I have read many posts about Darton sleeves in Aluminum blocks but not Iron 6.0L's. I have spoken with my engine builder and have come to the conclusion that its a big task but not impossible. I would like a 6.0L with 4.125 bore. Tell me what you think.

whats up Matt I havent talked to you in a while?
Iron blocks dont have sleeves anyway. So why would you want to do this? It would be really strong IF it can be done. but it would not be cost effective at all. Just get a iron block and call it a day

Well if you dont use sleeves how can you get 4.125" bore out of the 6.0L Iron block. I thought .030-.060 was all you could safely bore.

well, depending on the block, .080 over is the most i've seen EVER. but even then, thats only one life out of the block. not worth it IMO. im sure that somone could sleeve a 6.0 to 4.125 or bigger even, but why? if you're sleeving, why not just do an aluminum block? this method has allready been prooven. why re-invent the wheel?

Ok, so answer this. If you wanted a big cube small block, would you rather have a .060 over iron block with a larger stroke or a sleeved aluminum block with larger bore and short stroke.
I guess what i want wont happen. I want a .125 over iron block with 4.00" stroke. Im really looking a for a bullit proof high compression N/A motor. No spray or FI ever. Just lots of motor.
