Yep, if he isn't pullied, you are winning with that cam for sure.

If your supporting mods include a decent set of heads, even more so.

yea that will be plenty, but unless your running the supporting mods, i.e. heads, intake, tb, and necessary fuel requirements you will be better off gettin the v2. Almost identical 232/234 but a little less agressive in the intake side. the v3 is also going to require a good set of double valve springs, Ide recomend those either way, but not a MUST have with the v2.

my buddy has the 3 with his tea stage 2.5 heads, and its faster than my buddies ported and pullied cobra.

Everybody knows a cam is all you need to go fast, doesn't matter about the other stuff.

ya lol you only need bolt ons to kill a catback cobra..... honestly they arent $hit without a pulley and supporting mods. there are cam only ls1's running mid to low 10's so that should be enough to totally rape ur dad lol.

Make sure you race from a dead stop .. I had DSG 03 snake for 4 years, they are hard to launch with the IRS setup. The wheel hop will be horrible if he spins any out of the hole. I ended up replacing the IRS subframe bushings, IRS differential bushings and went to DRs to keep the wheel hop at bay. That for the most part cured it, but I would still get some from time to time.

your car:

~400rwhp and 3500#

his car:

~350rwhp (being generous) and almost 4000#

assuming you don't blow the launch....the outcome is pretty clear

before the pulley mine dyno'd around 390 RWHP with bassani catback, and drop in K&N cone filter for stock airbox w/no tune... A coupe would weigh in around 3800-3900 with driver/fuel (curb weight is 3664 for coupe)

Just an O/R X pipe, Magnaflow Catback, K&N cone filter 411RWHP/413RWTQ on a Mustang Dyno..

With a 2.76 Upper and a Stage 5 Port I made 515RWHP/489RWTQ

But I still feel slower than my old procharged Camaro.. I miss it so much!

it will take a decent cam and every supporting mod to beat the cobra...played around with my bro in laws 04 when he had cai and catback...down low my car pulledf ahead enough to hold him off through the 1/4,but he was reeling my car back in fast...

when he got a pulley and tune my car was only .2 and 2mph faster on a 90rwhp shot...NEVER under estimate the terminator...
I have a 99 with gears exhaust and a 125 shot..it would take a VERY healthy ls1 car to run with it....

BTW you will need good springs and hardened pushrods with either version of the torquer.
