Default stock cam and aftermarket springs

well i tried to ask this question on another board but with no luck.i wanted to have cam ground and tuned to pass smog but but no luck. so if i just buy a huge cam or have one ground and swap the stock cam back in for smog can i leave the after market springs in or not?

Yep, I'm running dual REV springs right now with the stock cam.

You can always run more spring than necessary, it's just less spring that gets you into trouble. You might want to try passing your big cam before you yank it out for the smog check; you can pass some pretty big cams as long as the PCM isn't throwing lights.
