Comp-918's VS. Pac-1218's
#22
I also use Pac 1218's.I didn't want to take any chances.I have heard that comp fixed the problems.I would still use Pac springs anyway.

Thank you
PAC used to make the spring for Comp but Comp switched and then had breakage issues. They have remedied it from what I've heard but given the choice I'd take the PAC first. PAC did not have an issue. THe 1518 from PAC is a superlative nitrided spring as well, good to .650 lift. I have them both in stock. Both are direct drop in replacements.
Yes I do have them for a good price as well

Ordered them on a Saturday and they arrived in Los Angeles on Monday morning. Great service!

I went with PAC 1518's on my new build haven't got it in the truck yet. I tried to order the 1218 and they called and said they were out of them till after the first of the year. so I got the 1518 at a discount. Saved $80 on them, AWESOME!

Is there any variation between springs between one motor and another other than the maximum lift......cuz i was lookin on here and the cc 918's are listed for ls1,2 and 6's. Just curious.

Heres some helpful info about the beehive design
http://www.racingsprings.com/beehivesprings.asp
The 1518
High performance LS1 spring that features
additional nitriding processing for increased
durability for high lift applications up to
0.650 lift. This spring remains a drop in
replacement for extremely high demanding
applications.

,so on a set of prc ls6 heads assembled with the .660 lift dual springs are the pac 1518's a good upgrade?...and are they drop in same as a stock head?
(keep prc retainers..shims)...
cams a .598.603 lift...
this is a dd that i dont want to worry about replacing springs anymore than i have to
