Dynoed Tr224 cam with stock heads on Mustang Dyno..
I put down 351.4 Hp and 335.3 Tq. My car made its best power at 13.2 A/f ratio. I am not for sure how other peoples tr224 numbers look on a Mustang Dyno but I hear the mustang dyno is typically 10-15% less than a dynojet. Over all I am very pleased with the results, I know it would put alot more down on a dynojet but the car runs 11.998 on radials so the cam is doing its job . Let me know your results with this cam or any cam on a mustang dyno or thoughts on my numbers. Here is the graph.

Re: Dynoed Tr224 cam with stock heads on Mustang Dyno..
I always heard the Mustang vs Dynojet 10-15% story and believed it to some extent, but last week the results of my ride dynoed on a Dynojet were the same kind of numbers that resulted on a Mustang dyno about a year ago, under approximately the same kind of environmental conditions (no major performance mods since then). It just goes to show, use the same dyno for before and after mod evaluations, without worrying too much about the numerical values.
That being said ... Nice numbers for stock heads

Those are VERY stout numbers and a HUGE torque peak
Did you set the afr back to 12.8 or somewhere in there after that 13.2 pull? Were you tuned?
Congratulations!

I did back the air fuel down to 12.8 and it lost 8rwhp and about 6 rwtq. So I kept leaning it back out more and more and it made max power at 13.2.
Yes I have ls1edit and have been tuning it via autotap for awhile now. This was the first time on a dyno with wideband. My first pull the air fuel was 13.2. I went into Pe vs rpm table and richended it up by 103% and it hardly changed the airfuel at all broguht it down very little to maybe 13.17 or so. I than went back and richened it by 110% and it brought the airfuel down to 12.8 and lost power. So I put the pe vs rpm table back to stock and it made the same power as the first run and the air fuel was 13.2 No knock and timing was 29.5 degrees.
BTW I have been following alot over on ls1tuning where you are a moderator,I just havent posted but the site is great and I have learned alot from there.
Thanks for the info

remember this....an untouched dyno JET vs Mustang Dyno will be 15% off...but ALOT of people *tune* their dynos to make more power...then they get people comming back...aka false advertisement

Re: Dynoed Tr224 cam with stock heads on Mustang Dyno..
There are guys that get on this dyno and dyno anywhere from 25-40rwhp less than they do on dynojets. These guys don't play tricks and don't care about numbers. They care about picking up a gain from the baseline. I am happy with my numbers on their dyno. They are just numbers in the end .
