Critique my plan - DD heads/cam build - sponsors come in!
I have a heads/cam build coming together slowly and need a little help deciding on a few things like cam size, compression ratio, and which lifters/pushrods/rocker arms to go with. Bear in mind this is my 100k mile daily driver, doesnt see much track time, and I want to get the best fuel economy I can. Im not looking for a set up that will only pull up top, I want something that will pull consistently through the powerband and will be fun to drive, while still being pretty damn quick.
My current mods are in my sig, and the build ill be going with is:
PRC 5.3 heads milled 59cc or maybe 58cc (with stock head gaskets)
Stall not bigger than 3200rpm
3.23 gears at the moment, possibly 3.42 or 3.73 in the future
ls6 intake and ported/polished TB
UD pulley
ported ls6 oil pump/ ls2 timing chain
Cam - I was originally set on the 224r on a 112 or 114 lsa, but im also considering something bigger like the F13 (230/232 113 lsa) and im open to any other suggestions, but like I said I still want to keep a good powerband and some low end power. Smog is not an issue BTW.
Pushrods/Lifters/Rocker Arms - The heads come assembled with prc dual springs (.660" lift) and titanium retainers. For pushrods tsp hardened pushrods are included, and i know stock length is 7.400" but I have a very noisy valvetrain as it is, so would what would be the pros/cons of going with say a 7.425" pushrod?
Lifters/Rocker arms - I was planning on keeping my stockers, but the motor does have 100k miles on it, need some advice here.

That looks like a good street build you have going there. I am not sure that you would be able to fit a 230's duration cam in there with the heads milled that far. I am a big fan of our 228R cam, if that is a cam you would consider I highly recommend it because of its broad and useable powerband. Once tuned the package should provide for a lot of power available whenever you need it. You can definately reuse your stock rockers if you want, but you might consider sending them out to Harland Sharp for a bearing rebuild since yours have a few miles on them. I would also recommend getting a fresh set of lifters in the motor, just some LS7s would work fine for a build like this. If you want better fuel economy, you should strongly consider an ewp and ud pully. My corvette picked up 3-5 mpg on the eway depending on conditions of course. I've gotten 34.5 mpg actual with the m6 (when she was a 490 rwhp 445 rwtq h/c 346), have no idea what the 402 is going to be like but I am sure I'll suffer a bit.
