I'd be very interested in knowing the rest of the story ^^! We've tested them on the engine dyno with virtually every camshaft combo we could find, back to back with all of our other heads and numerous competitor's heads as well....Not once did they ever lose HP or TQ like you state there vs the 5.3L heads (or LS6 for that matter)!

PRC 237 made 512rwhp@5800RPM and 487 RWTQ on my LY6 iron 427..and PRC stage 2.5 make 525RWHP@5800RPM and 506RWTQ..all at the same AFR ratio of 13.1AFR..came back with 5.3 stage 2.5 heads and 525RWHP AND 506RWTQ ..i think that i may have valve-flotting condition with these rollers rockers but i changed my .650spring and replace it by 675eht double and i have corrected the 6400rpm valve flotting that i had..but can i already have the same problem at 5800peak with no valve flotting until 7000rpm with eht .675 springs kit..?

C5 427 LY6 IRON PRC HEADS , FAST 102 WITH BIG MOUTH NICK WILLIAM,ARHEADERS,X-PIPE,BORLA CAT, CAM 238-240 AND .655-.650 WITH ROLLER 1.82 110LSA,EHT DOUBLE,
.675 SPRINGS KIT,

Tiny cam for a 427, and it's peaking way early for having a fast 102

We have a set of the 237s right now going on a 408 and they look very nice and should have some dyno numbers within a month probably as I think Pat G is tuning this one.

Seems like to me the 5.3 heads would bump the compression up vs the 237's which would lower it and explain his loss. Now for the boosted guys such as myself, we don't necessarily lose anything since we force alot more air through them. So where as they may lose you 10-15hp (allegedly) on a N/A setup. Curious what chamber size he was running.

The engine we did still is going in the car and has not been started or tuned or dyno'd yet. I will post what that combo makes though when it does run.

" I8UR4RD " true about the compression, also about the chamber size, if he ran them at a lower compression i can see a loss but i suppose he had them milled to bump the compression to the same level with the 5.3s.

" driver240 " at what chamber size did you run those heads at ? did you have them milled ?...

I am still working on it Eric, I put the motor in this weekend and will try to get the tranny back in next weekend, After that I will be getting back in touch with Pat G to set up a time to take it to Victoria. It's hard to find time to work on the car with my work schedule but it is coming along, I am making sure I do everything right, the car hasn't ran in 12 years so no need to rush it now. Erik I will send you the results when I am all done, i haven't forgot about ya. I'm sure I'll be posting them here also....The title will say " HKE + Pat G = ____rwhp for Me"

great and hope to see it soon. I know how long things take too! My back has been out now 4 days and I can't even stand and hardly sit but was thinking about your combo the other day when reading this.
