bull's eye on block what does that mean?
 
a friend of mine was telling me i had a bull's eye on my block and said i had the LS6 block.. its a 2001 ss :confused:

If it has xxxxx1168 casting numbers at the left rear of the block right at the deck just below the head gasket, it's an LS6 block (might need to use a small mirror on your car).
LS6 blocks started being used from 2001.
Mines a Dec 2001 build and had an LS6 block.

I believe that the blocks that didnt have the bullseye were LS6 blocks. The ones that had the bullseye were LS1 blocks, thats what everyone told me.
