Granted I do not suggest driving thru deep water but sometimes if thats the only way thru you just gotta hope for the best or go back home.

I wouldnt worry about where it is, but depending on how high the water was when you stalled out and how long it sat there. If the water was high enough to come into the car through the doors then I would worry about them being contaminated but if not I'd say youre fine.

cant MAP sensors cause funny idle conditions too? i know on a nissan truck a buddy had back in the day his MAP was causing high idle. Also, i would recommend changing ur trans fluid and rearend gear oil. i would rather spend my money on 4 qts of ATF and 2 QTs of gear oil then to find out water might have been in there and destoryed your tranny. it wont have any noticable effects right away, but water in oil will take its toll. might not hurt to check it out.

Thanks for the consideration on the trans n rear end oil change. I will check it out after the fixed idle...its low its idling at 800 rpms...thinking its the IAC motor. I moved the **** and the idle changed
