where to find new, bare 243's?
 

i wish i knew the part number for these heads. i am looking to buy a set of new, bare 243 heads but i am not sure where to start looking. if anyone knows the part number that would be great.

If you're gonna buy NEW heads, I would seriously consider the L92 heads and LS3 intake if you've got a cam to match...

wouldn't these fit a larger bore motor better?

4.00+ bore only
cannot use l92/ls3 on ls1 3.9 bore.

fuck, i keep forgetting that :/ I'm building a 6.0 and for some reason I can't get it outa my thickass head that ls1's are 5.7, lmao.

I got some brand new bare 243's with the stock seats in them. I'd sell them for $400 shipped, which is what I gave for them.

I paid $425 shipped with new valves and seals from Patriot Performance.

What is the reason again? I've read it before but I keep forgetting.

Because the bigger valves are shrouded by the smaller bore........
