Also while on the topic. Did anybody notice the SCAT stroker crank in Nine Ball's photos?

https://ls1tech.com/SEMA_03/pages/product_SCAT_LS1.htm

Does anyone have more info on these? Looks like reasonably priced strokers may not be far off.

I think the SCAT LS1 stroker cranks are priced about the same as the Lunati and Callies cranks.

Eagle is gonna blow them outta the water if that pricing is right.

The Eagle distributor confirmed that price to me about 4 weeks ago and said December Delivery.

I saw the Eagle stroker cranks at SEMA and they look promising. SInce they haven't released pricing neither will I but they are going to be very affordable. They are also putting together stroker packages as we speak. They were great people to talk to. Now they got me looking at one of their cranks Again my mind changes.

At that list price, dealers are going to be getting these cranks in the $600-700 range....

pretty soon ebay will be exploding with these cranks priced @ $800

Eagle's going to sell a zillion of these cranks.

I'm about to jump outta my chair, I have wanted a stroker for YEARS but *REFUSED* to waste the 1600+ on a crank. I have a motor in the garage just itching for one as a matter of fact

If they are under $1000, it will make my decision that much easier to build me a future stroker.

That does sound promising! I have been running an eagle crank and rods in my blown mustang ( I know ) for a while without any problems. It has convinced me that they make pretty good stuff.

Doesn't anyone else consider this still kinda ridiculous considering how cheap SBC cranks are in comparison? They are still gouging us.

It's true both SCAT and Eagle will have cranks available soon. I talked to both companies at SEMA. The SCAT rep. did not give me much info.

As I mentioned in the other post the Eagle cranks will be available in 3.622, 3.90, and 4.00. The SCAT will be available in 4.00 but I dont know if their cranks will be available in other strokes. All of the cranks from both manufactures are 4340 forgings.

The Eagle rep was great and gave me a catalog with the new stuff in it including pricing. The "racer net" pricing on the cranks is $1095 or something like that. I think that we could easily be looking at complete bottom end kits for a little bit over $2k.

I hope they offer it for around 600-800 bucks. 1K is still expensive...

Man at that price I might toss out the idea of a forged 348 for a 373. But the low cost does concern me in my experience you get what you pay for.

Eagle makes great gear.

Check out the prices of the forged cranks etc available for the Gen 1's and up.

We have been raped on crank prices for years in the LS1 world.

Eagle does make great gear and gettign into the LS market will only force the "other" mfg's to get more reasonable... i mean come on the "R&D" costs have been paid for quite some time now. How expensive are the Cola cranks? i know when i had my shop i bought directly from them because at the time the only 3.75 one piece seal cranks were from manley and lunati that were 1700.00 and Cola was selling them for 880.00 shipped. Now this was the LT1/4 world... but are they similar in the LS world?

I can see a stroker in my future as well with these costs.
