Ok I have heard rumor's of the 6.0 head's not being able to run a stock 3.900 bore gasket..if this is true what gasket should i use?..it's a bone stock factory short block...also someone said something about welding/modifying the chamber to match the bore size??..is that needed or is that just you you can run a 3.900 gasket or to unshroud the chamber to produce better flow?...thank's, Carter |

Thank's scott, So I just use a 6.0 liter head gasket?...or do i need a custom cometic with a 4" bore for a 346 block?...kinda lost lol...thank's, Carter |
I went with the GM MLS 6.0L head gasket on my 348 with 6.0 heads. You can get them from scoggin dickey for about 35 each if I remember right. I wanted to go with cometics but after all the leak issue I have seen with them I didn't want to chance it. But the cometics come in the 4" bore size too, they are are readily available if you want to stick with those. J:D |

I can tell you yes, the GM 6.0's are 4", and Cometics are also readily available. |
What about graphite gaskets...are there any graphites that will work? |
Thanks Scott for making that clear for me:cheers: 10secZ if you are going FI go to the MLS gasket from GM or cometic, they hold up to boost better than the graphite. J |
Frcfed, Whats the part number for those GM MLS head gaskets?? thanks Kyle |
