ive been lookin at different cams and im wanting a good cam that makes good power, i also want it to be somewhat aggressive...i have an 01 ss and it has an ls6 intake..i plan on porting and polishing with a nice valve job on my stockers...i was told stock heads flow just about as good as anything else so since i have these imma see what i can get out of them first! ive been lookin at the trickflow cam with a 228/230 @ .050..i had an lt1 with the cc306 cam and i loved the way it would cut up...i want to make good power tho! so will someone chime in and point me in a good direction whether its texas speed or lunati or comp...

texas speed tqv3 cam, or a thunder racing 228 cam those make good power and tq on stock heads.

someone told me that stock ls1 heads are really good heads when theyve been worked...what about ls6 heads? are they good too?

If you want a cam that is going to make good power and cut up, I would look at our 230/236-112LSA cam.

Give Texas Speed a call they can do full cnc porting on your stock heads cheap, or you can buy their LS6 heads and have them do the porting and one of their many cams. Give them some more info and they can set you up quite nicely and are willing to work under any budget you might have.
