Default oil dipstick o-ring

I'm trying to track down a leak. Can someone tell me if the oil dipstick tube suppose to have an o-ring on it where it slides into the oilpan? If so, what size? Thanks!

Yes it is I actually have two of them at my house I don't know the size but if you need one go to stealership and ask for a oil pickup tube o ring. I paid like $3 for one so they aren't expensive.

Not sure if it is different for an LS6 - but I wanted to change one as part of my head/cam/intake swap. Dealer told me you had to but the whole dipstick for $18....couldn't buy the O ring seperately. I passed rather than trying to match something up and have issues since mine was ok!

Any auto parts store will have an "o" ring assortment on hand. Match one up for very low cost.

Correct! Dealer wanted $18 for dipstick tube with O ring as a unit!!! Wouldn't sell just the O ring.
