A safe-big cam is an oxymoron. I would recommend choosing a cam that is in the popular 228/232 or 230/230 range between .580-.615" lift with an LSA between 111-112 with 2 to 4 degrees of advance. Any cam in this window will be great. Safe and plenty big.
