PP Stage 3 LS6 heads...who's got em... Would you recommend them on my setup, I plan to try them out. -Sly |
I don't think they'd be worth very much over the stage II's on a stock cubic inch motor. But heck, every little bit is worth it. btw.. have you dyno'd your current 5.3 heads and 230/236 cam combo yet? |
Haven't dyno'd yet unfortunately, price isn't of concern tho that's why I ask. I've heard some say they will be too much for a 346, umm they flow just a little more than the Stage II's, I don't see how that will hurt. I am set up for higher RPM's anyway, 4000 stall etc.. -Sly |
i was told that the ls6 heads perform better in the midrange than the 5.3's did i just pay an extra $500 for nothin? |
Once again, I think I'm the only one. :) |
nevermind sorry i got the stg2 not stg3 |
Well I personally can't give a "comparison" of stage 3 over stage 1 or 2 but I can say...... I have a set of "stage 3" (2.08/1.60 valves) that were done by a local guy (he got ~300CFM @ 0.600" lift through an LS1 intake....) on my stock 346 bottom end (daily driver) and I REALLY like the performance they give. They are BIG for the little TR224/224 I'm running (didn’t have P-to-V clearance for any more cam) but they still make the motor scream up top (I got an honest 400RWHP in 105 degree heat). I can't wait to rebuild the bottom end (forged pistons with valve notches) so I can put something like a G5X2 or 3 in it. :) |

So if someone were building a 408c.i. motor, would you guys recommend the PP LS6 stage 3 over the stage 2? |
On a 408c.i. motor,Iwould recommend the stage 3 vs. the stage 2. |
