Default TR227/224 and 241 heads install 56K NO WAY

Well my buddy and I finally got this done, like everything else on my car when i'm repairing something i find something else that needs to be fixed to make it work lol anyway here are the pics
btw the milage of the car at time of install was 169,302 lol
the project:

the products:

let's start ripping her apart!

finally got the intake off

and a little fast forward to the valve covers off lol

old cam

new cam

and here is my stock PCV that was cracked bad had to order a new one

i need to take pics of the engine bay now, looks a lot better with the new stuff in and the dip stick actually moved forward because the bolt pattern is different on the 241's compared to the 853's
here's the first start-up and a idle clip
start up :
idle and drive off slowly lol:

Nice. My brother and I just got done installing an MS4 cam, PRC LS6 heads, ported LS6 oil pump, and double roller chain on his 01 Z28, all that is needed is to do some more tuning.

Sweeeeet. Are you going to have it dynoed? I'd like to see what the #'s would be with stock manifolds.

thanks guys! yeah i'm gettin it dyno-tuned but with LT's and my 3" true duals and 36lb injectors next month, til then it's gonna just sit in the driveway till it's ready, don't want to risk something bad with all that mileage the install wasn't bad really, the only thing that sucked the most was the oil pump and gettin the new bolt in the pickuptube. we took our time on it but it was well worth it and i love the sound with the manifolds and cats, but i'm very anxious for the LT's

lol well we took our time and plus i was gone for 4 days hahaha only took a week hahahaha the point is it's done! the reason it took so long is cause we had to wait for that GM PCV hose

yep, i had 853's that had bad valve float and i was starting to get some leak down, all those miles who would be surprised huh lol i bought the new ones a year ago for dirt cheap!!!! so i had a machine shop clean them up and install the spring kit from Thunder Racing. all of which still cost me less than stock 243's

nope just plain jane 241's, when this car officially retires from normal driving i'll get better heads. i had to upgrade the lifters and lifter trays so why not put these on since i had them in my room lol

i was going to but i didn't want the 111LSA, i went with the TR227/224 for drivability reasons
the TR230/224 .575/.563 111 LSA
the TR227/224 .569/.563 114 LSA

the day it retires from occasional street use a TR230 goes in lol but maybe on a higher LSA

Reason I ask is because I am planning on the TR230. I don't have the emissions test yet where I live, I also have 6 speed. Any idea how much HP you will make after you get headers?

i'm hoping for 390 or so but then again i might be over shooting it. and that all depends on which dyno my car sits on, it might have lower dyno numbers on one and then go to another have have higher. i'll post up the number when i get it tuned though, oh it'll probably be with 36lb injectors but thats depending on the duty cylce. if i didn't have emissions i'd go with the TR230 in a heartbeat but california is run by the hippie ****
