need to know if i would have ptv clearance???

I got this setup for my ls1 a 228/232 cam with 5.3l head port and polish only....with a felpro graphite gasket from autozone, but I want to know if I would have issues with ptv clearance..I know that its a mild cam but I just want to be safe and I want to know what size is the graphite gasket thickness anyone thanks in advance!!!

You need to measure clearance and that only you can do no matter hwo tells you what if you do not check you ptv on your own you are wrong.

If I knew the geometry of the 5.3 head is the same as the 241s or 853s(which I don't), and I knew the lift wasn't anything stupid, as well as a relatively mild LSA, I would GUESS you would be fine. Bump it up to a 0.060 MLS gasket and use the clay method to measure IMHO

Thanks ill try the clay method I just stick the clay to the piston and turn crank until the piston is in compression

You should not have any problems at all with that cam. But yes, clay on the top of the piston, fully cycle the engine, spec out displacement and you have your clearance value.
