does anyone have the actual specs for an MS4 besides the duration and lift. like the ICL and opening and closing points? basically everything on the cam card. |

thats exactly what im trying to do. i was wondering how anyone was going to get the DCR without that info. |
IVC is 50ºABDC for anyone wanting to do the calculations with the MS4. With 11.2:1 static, you net about 8.25:1 dynamic. 11.5:1 dynamic would get you right at 8.5:1 dynamic, for whatever that's worth to anybody. |

FWIW, im at 11.77 static with my current setup, just trying to keep it pump gas friendly with the dynamic. |

thats worth a million bucks to me Matt. thank you very much. one more question, is that a .050 lifter rise? |
looks like im going to be at 9.24 dynamic. anyone want to check it for me... 4.030 bore 3.622 stroke 6.098 rod .040 gasket 4.130 gasket bore .005 IN the hole 3.2 cc valve releifs in flat top pistons 58cc head MS4 cam installed straight up. (i have an adjustable timing set so i can retard or advance it as neccessary) |

Sorry, the 50º IVC is @.050. DCR is calculated using the .006" numbers.....the IVC @.006" is 74.5ºABDC. |
the only reason im using the 4.130 gasket is because i cant find anything smaller with the .040 thickness....unless someone can point me to one if that would be a better choice. |
The ones that use the +15º use that as a basic approximation to get the event at .006" :) |
We usually stock 4.035" bore .040" gaskets as well as some 4.060", 4.085", etc. With about 11.7:1 and the IVC @74.5ºABDC it's saying (the larger bore gasket brings your SCR to about 11.65:1 or so), it's right at 8.5:1 DCR. That's assuming the cam and timing set are both perfect and not advances/retarded any....I'd degree it to make sure it's where you want it. |

im leaning toward the 4.085 gasket if it can be had in MLS form .040 |
If you've got the valve relief depth, and are happy with where the VE's lie, then there's no major advantage to advancing or retarding it from there and I'd let her ride. We stock that Cometic 4.085"x.040" . |
sweet. ill be geting back at you when the time gets closer on the gasket. |
Cool, let us know when we can help! Sorry for the hijack, James! |
