PRC 237's ? Im wanting to buy a set of prc 237s for my 404ci iron block stroker. i cant find a ton of info on them on here, i guess not that many guys running them yet but does anyone have any input on them? Flow numbers seem to be really compareable to afrs or tfs how is the deck thickness? does anyone have any input on them or know how they stack up against the trick flows or afrs? pros cons? Trick flows are not really a options bc of cost and i plan to run a stock rocker for now. My setup is gonna be 404 ci iron block wiseco -2cc flat tops eagle hbeam eagle 4340 crank morel linkbar lifters 254 260 630 625 113+2 cam ported ls6 oil pump inmotion double roller timing chain ported fast 90/90 tsp 1 7/8" long tubes PRC 237s ??? arp head and main studs Direct port n2o 300 shot hsw stand alone fuel system thanks |
Call and find out if they are actually available. I tried to by a set a while back and got the run-around for months. Looks to be a nice head, but if they are just vapor-ware, that won't do anything for you. I wound up going with some Edelbrock 245's from WCCH, and am very happy with them. |

i was kinda hoping to find more than one result but as of now i do plan to order them tomorrow |
If you cant find results on them, why not stick to a head thats more common? |
bc trickflows are not in my budget with haveing to buy roller rockers and afrs or others are still an option but tsp spoke highly of them and the numbers are good just wanting some real world oppions if there were any. every product was new and not proven at some point. |
bump last chance to sway me |
Let us know how they perform after the install. Best of luck !! |
2200 for the 237's and 2500 for the AFR 225's. is 300 bucks really worth going with that head over the AFR head? |
Saving $300, getting a .675" valve spring, the extra head bolts, & a cylinder head that moves for air? The PRC 237 head is hard to beat for the money, we've had really good results with them & made some of the best power #'s we've ever seen on the dyno with those cylinder heads. :) :) We recently had a 418 make over 670flywheel with the PRC 237 heads! :) :) For example the cnc ported l92 heads made something like 660flywheel. |
i seen they are cast for 6 bolt blocks, but can you use them on 4 bolt blocks? im not dogging the heads, but i didnt know they came with .675 springs and outflowed the AFR's. are they based off a stock casting? |
ordered ill keep everyone posted, they didnt have them in stock but said they should have them in 2 weeks |
I'm interested in results as well. I've had my eye on them since the info was release. |
I just ordered a set for my 408 stroker and hope to push 15psi thru them. Ill give them the ultimate test. |
