By 6.0...are you talking LS2? I did some searching around on this (several threads discuss it). The concensus seemed to be that it would be a bigger PITA than it's worth. People seem to go with an LS6 intake instead (stock on the '01-02 SS, AFAIK).

I always though people said the truck intakes are good, but have trouble fitting under car hoods?

If it's a truck intake, it won't fit in your SS without cutting the cowl out and maybe going to a cowl hood too.

Take them both. Put the truck intake manifold for sale on eaby, you might get a 100 bucks for it but then turn around and buy a LS2 intake manifold off a corvette they are a dime a dozen on ebay. Now the LS2 and LS6 intakes flow about the same in the stock form, but the LS6 does not have room for porting and the LS2 does. Once you port that bad boy your getting between 15 to 18% more flow out of the LS2 with the 90MM tb. Is it worth it, really its up to the person paying to do the work. if 15 to 18% more flow seems worht it then do it if not then stick to the LS6.

Oh and usually you can have your 90MM tb ported and polished for about 100 to 150 dollars which also is a good investment. Oh and do not forget you will need a TB pig tail to make your 90MM work because it is not plug and play with the LS1 wiring harness.

good luck

Don't a lot of ASA cars run that intake on their LS1's? I know I've seen big throttle bodies on them...

I always heard the LS2 intake is a piece of crap in stock form. This is news to me. I am not saying you're wrong just curious if you can give more info on this.
