My custom 224 cam works pretty good with the 3.42's. Only problem with 3.42's is you are going sideways at 55 mph in 1st gear when you romp it lol.

it made those numbers through stock ls1 heads/intake/tb and 87 octane...yes yes yes i kno...i was still new to the ls1 scene when i did the cam and hadn't yet learned that ls1's need 93. so really it makes closer to 375 with 93 in it(also make note of the torque curve). also stay tuned i will be making a thread once i have my 799's, ls6 intake, 85mm tb and mufflex all installed and tuned. rest assured there will be pics and vids

so not to hijack the thread but im in a similar boat as the OP.

Want the most power under the curve on stock heads, but will have 3.73's in the car. I want a nice lope at idle but minimal surging. Was looking at the reverse split cams but just cant make up my mind. any ideas?

Car has a 92/92 combo with 1and 7/8ths LT's.
