I have 987's with a very smilar 224 XE-R 113 cam. I plan to replace the springs the first time around after two years or 24,000 miles which ever comes first. I don't beat the car a lot so they might still be good when they are placed. I'll see if I can get spring pressures checked when it's time to do them next year about this time.

Jason at Thunder has tested several sets of springs and probably has good insight into how long they should last and what conditions.
