Lifters would be nice, but I'm not sure whether they'd be mandatory.

Its right at 95000 now....if it would be good insurance i would have no problem doing the lifters as the ls7s arent that expensive...

Think it will add much to the install?

Well, you said cam swap. Why are you taking the heads off? If you are gonna do that much atleast get a compression mill on your heads as well as replace the lifters. I wouldn't go to the trouble to replace your stock lifters unless you are planning on running a ridiculous cam.

That was what I was going off of. Unless you are more comfortable changing the springs with the head in your lap. Which is much easier.

Depending what the gasket thickness is I would just put them in a flat dry place and use them when you get tired of cam-only power.

^that.

so yeah if you aren't planning on pulling the heads leave the stock lifters alone. do them if/when you do your heads.

If you are doing the swap yourself, the less crap you have to mess with the better. Especially if it is your cherry poppin' cam swap.

If you dont mind me asking how much is that going to cost you to have HPE do the install? im looking at doing a cam swap myself but id like to know about how much they run to have someone do it.
